Today is Brinkley‘s birthday! He is now 3 years old. I can’t believe how fast time has flown by. When we first picked up Brinkley, he was just 9 weeks old and the tiniest little smol bean who could fit in the crook of my arm. Now, he’s a healthy, strong, muscular dog who is a treasured member of our family. Naturally, celebrating his birthday is a must in our household.

Happy New Year! Here’s to 2018 and a new year full of possibilities. What are your resolutions, if any, for the new year?
I thought I would start off the new year with an update on my golden pup, Brinkley (see meet brinkley). Brinkley is now 8 months old – obviously still very much a young puppy but his growth has been significant from a tiny ball of fluff I could hold in my arm to a 50-lb. adorable and handsome dog.

On June 17, I welcomed a new member to my family – a golden retriever puppy! This was a long-awaited dream of mine, to be a dog mom to a wonderful golden retriever. The first dog I ever met in my life was a golden retriever, and he was the sweetest, smartest, and most playful dog. Ever since then, I have longed to take care of a golden of my own. And finally – 22 years later – I’m thrilled to be able to do so.
